Apply to the program
⚠️ Important — this route is only useful if you have toggled "Require affiliate applications" on for your program. That toggle is what sets the application of newly created affiliates to
not_applied, giving them something to apply with. If the toggle is off, affiliates created throughPOST /api/program/affiliateare instantlyapproved— they have no application to submit, and this route answers 400 "Already approved".
Submits an application for merchant review. The merchant accepts or declines it from the dashboard, which updates the affiliate's status.
Your API key acts as you — the program owner — so this request submits the application on the affiliate's behalf (typically when onboarding them into your own platform). The affiliate must have accepted the current legal terms (enforced at creation for API-created affiliates).
